Our Story

Joanne Irvine is our multi-award winning wine maker of international acclaim and proud owner of Wine Wise Consulting, located in the heart of Australia’s most famous wine region, Barossa Valley, South Australia.

Since 2001, Joanne’s consultancy has served over one hundred winery clients on wide ranging subjects including winemaking, varietal styling, vineyard varietal selection, product appraisal, blending, marketing potential, product profit appraisal, and so on.

The company was specifically created in order to provide a premium quality service for you, based on integrity, honesty, a wealth of industry experience and our personal commitment to your success.

We have a five hundred tonne capacity contract wine processing facility near the township of Nuriootpa where Joanne Irvine and Assistant Winemaker Ashley Riebke have been working together to produce many accolades for small wine producers from many regions in Australia.

At Wine Wise Consulting it is our belief that great wines are created by synergy and attention to detail, both in the vineyard and in the winery.

Production

We are able to co-ordinate many aspects of your winemaking requirements, from advice in the vineyard regarding optimum picking times, through to grape cartage, intake to our winery, weighing, crushing, fermentation, blending, varietal styling, oak selection and tank storage.

In order to assist you in achieving the wine style that is right for you, we assess each wine batch individually, monitor maturation processes, offer classification assessment, provide filtering services and we also create bench trials of your wine for your assessment.

We ensure that your wines are fully analysed and export compliant, prior to your bottling schedule.

We can point you in the right direction so you can liaise with our chosen network of industry specific professionals including graphic artists, label printers, glass manufacturers, bottle photographers, carton manufacturers, bottling facilities, local freight companies and freight forwarders.

At Wine Wise we can also assist you with Viticultural Advice, Winery Design and Management, Product and Profit appraisals.
